Mr. Manoj Mittal is the Chairman & Managing Director (CMD) at Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI). Prior to this, he served as MD&CEO of IFCI Ltd. for 3 years. During his tenure, IFCI successfully turned the corner in FY2024 with a new business strategy, reporting profit after a series of annual losses. Earlier in his career, he spent 5 years as a Deputy Managing Director at SIDBI and was actively involved in the development and implementation of SIDBI Vision 2.0.
Mr. Manoj Mittal has a track record of over 3 decades in propelling organizational growth and driving both impact and profitability through strategic leadership. As a career Development Banker at SIDBI, Mr. Mittal had played a lead role in promoting MFI movement including restructuring of dues of banks to MFIs during the A.P. MFI Crisis in 2010 and implementation of responsible lending initiatives. He also has comprehensive experience in design, management and impact evaluation of various sustainability and developmental programs funded by multilateral agencies/ Government of India. He is a strong votary of Credit Plus approach for holistic development of MSMEs. He has wide experience of providing support to MSMEs/ Startups, financial intermediaries - Banks/ Non-Banking Finance Companies/ Micro Finance Institutions, Alternate Investment Funds etc. An engineer by training, Mr. Mittal has, to his credit, a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Management and a Postgraduate Degree in Economics. He is also a Certified Associate of Indian Institute of Banking and Finance.

Mr. Prakash Kumar took charge as Deputy Managing Director of SIDBI on November 07, 2023. Prior to this, he was the Chief General Manager in SIDBI and headed several important Verticals, viz., NBFC and Microfinance Vertical, Direct Credit Vertical, Risk Management Vertical, Treasury and Resource Management Vertical etc. He has also led the prestigious Poorest State Inclusive Growth (PSIG) Project implemented by SIDBI with support from DFID, UK. He has more than 28 years of experience in SIDBI, in varied areas such as SME Financing, Microfinance, Risk Management, Treasury, NPA Management, Business Process Re-engineering etc. He has been invited as a speaker in several Conferences / Seminars concerning MSME financing & development related areas, both in India & abroad. He is a B.Tech in Chemical Engineering from IIT Delhi and Masters in Financial Management from NMIMS, Mumbai.

Dr. Archana Hingorani serves as an Independent Director on the Boards of Alembic Pharmaceuticals Limited, 5Paisa Capital Limited, SIDBI Venture Capital Limited, Grindwell Norton Limited, The Phoenix Mills Limited, Balaji Telefilms Limited and SBI Mutual Fund Trustee Company Private Limited. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Arts from the University of Mumbai, a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the Graduate School of Business, University of Pittsburgh, USA and a Doctorate Degree in Philosophy from the Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business, University of Pittsburgh, USA. She has 30 years of experience in financial services and private equity fund investment. She is currently a Managing Partner at Siana Capital, an investment firm focused on technology and innovation and a Distinguished Visiting Professor for Private Equity at the Katz Graduate School of Business, University of Pittsburgh, USA. She has been the recipient of various awards such as ‘Ten most influential women in private real estate investing’ by PERE in 2010, ‘Most Powerful Women’ in 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017 by Fortune India, ‘Most Powerful Women’ in 2011, 2012 and 2013 by Business Today, ‘25 Most Influential Women in Asia Asset Management’ by Asian Investor in May, 2014, and ‘Distinguished International Alumnus’ in the year 2016 by the Katz Graduate School of Business, University of Pittsburgh, USA. In sum, she has over 39 years’ experience in the financial services business, teaching and research. Dr. Hingorani is also well published and her most recent contribution is to the Palgrave Handbook of Sovereign Wealth Funds, 2024.

Mr. Arvind Kumar Jain has been a Director at SIDBI Venture Capital Limited (SVCL) since July 2020. He is Ex-ED, Punjab & Sind Bank and has a rich Banking experience of around 40 years with expertise in Treasury Corporate Credit, International Banking, Equity & Debt Capital raising, Compliances and Risk Management. As a Chief General Manager of the Oriental Bank of Commerce, he headed the Large Corporate Credit Department and as a General Manager, he headed Integrated Treasury and International Division, Mid Corporate Credit, Merchant Banking Division, Investor Relation etc. Mr. Jain is also on the Board of PNB Investment Services Limited, Nabsamruddhi Finance Limited, IFCI Venture Capital Funds Limited, PNB Metlife India Insurance Company Limited, Bank of India Trustee Services Private Limited and Paytm Payments Bank Limited. He is a Gold Medallist in M.Sc. (Statistics) and is a Law graduate.

Mr. Arup Kumar has been appointed as Managing Director at SIDBI Venture Capital Limited (SVCL) in Oct 2024. Prior to this appointment, he was Chief General Manager in SIDBI. He has more than 34 years of professional experience including 30 years in SIDBI. In SIDBI, he has headed important Verticals like Treasury and Resource Management, NBFC, SIDBI Foundation for Micro Credit, besides heading larger geographies for Operations. He has also held key assignments in Risk Management, Stressed Asset Management, MSME Credit, etc. Additionally, he has served as a director on the Boards of Utkarsh Small Finance Bank, Bandhan Bank Holdco, Crif Highmark Credit Bureau, UP Finance Corporation, Annapurna Finance, etc. An Engineer by training, Mr. Kumar has done post-graduation in Economics. He has also done Diploma in Investments, Treasury and Risk Management, besides being a Certified Associate of Indian Institute of Banking and Finance.
